Tea and Jam

tea and jam

My work complete (see post 2.28.2013) it was time for a bit of breakfast.  On Melrose, within a block of each other, are Urth Caffe and le Pain Quotidien.  Both are favorites and for different reasons.  Urth feels precisely as its name …..  earthy, organic, holistic – where Le Pain feels like your favorite french cafe.  On this particular trip I found myself drawn to Le Pain.  Sitting at the outside table with some tea, a baguette, a trio of their delicious jams and spreads, was the perfect reward for having completed my task and a way to languish in the California sunshine and visit with CF.
