London: The White Swan

I have been in London twice in my life – this being the second – where I find myself on the first gloriously sunny Spring Day. The streets fill with people clamoring to put the long cold winter behind them. Girls wear sheer frocks and sandals despite what I would describe as a damp chill. Floral prints and cardies abound and men bare much too much. On this day, it was the celebration of the changing seasons that made the city hum with life. Pubs were brimming with people standing outside enjoying a drink and chatting with friends. I couldn’t help but notice the group gathered at the White Swan as they made a day of it. Peter has challenged me to look for more of the moments in the pictures I am taking. In this, I was particularly drawn to the young girls as they experienced the rites of Spring.
