Happiness = $20 and a candy store

The question is… how does one become a hero to a 13 year old? The answer – $20 and the always fantastic candy store in downtown Laguna. It has been there as long as I can remember and stock nearly every candy and confection on the planet. With $20 in their pocket our intrepid adventurers braved the traditional salt water taffy (we are at the beach after all) positioned at the front and made their way back to all the good stuff. After my salad, I was determined not to fall prey to the sweet stuff and, for the most part, I didn’t. The whole experience brought back memories of my brother and my summer holidays where penny candy, and popsicles and the Dairy Queen dominated.
