I don’t know what these plants are called. They pepper the Laguna landscape in shades of greens and deep eggplants. Ever since I first came upon them I have thought they look like something from a Dr. Seuss book. I can imagine a story illustrated with his quirky characters walking across a landscape peppered with these plants.
I love Dr. Seuss. The wisdom of his words. It is so refreshingly simple in a world of complexity and still as true today as it was when I was a kid but it resonates more and I appreciate it differently. He said, “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple”. So true.
I am also a fan of “Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!” It reminds us to take advantage of our strengths and enjoy that which makes us different. I love this message for Little a. and Joe.
