Les plus beaux villages de France means the most beautiful village in France. Our Captain made a quip about this – and it would be hard to pick a most beautiful village in France. But, if forced, this one could certainly qualify. I loved it and found myself walking around with my good friend Chrissie imagining a life in Burgundy with Saturday trips to the market. The only obstacle I could see is that Avocados were $3 each and that seemed high for one of my beloved foods. Other than that, I was all in. It was quaint and charming and seemed a good jumping off point for all sorts of European adventures. All too soon it was time to return to the Barge for lunch – never a hardship – but I would have liked to linger a bit longer and enjoy the people and activity of this adorable town.
