Thank you Tumblr! This was a banner week – recognition for 1000 posts, crossing the 300 threshold in readership, and nearly hitting 100 on PJ Charles Colors.
I started blogging to have a visual history of daily activity. It has served to keep me inspired and shooting. This year, at the request of CF, I started writing. And my friend SW and I worked on a year-long project together that kept us connected despite the miles between us. This has been one of my most rewarding experiences and as a result ….
I have a rich visual history of my life every day for the last 3 years. Everyday with the exception of one – a commitment and record of which I am very proud. I have stuck with this, and love it as much today as I did when I started.
I have learned so much and overcome my own fears. It has inspired me to be paperless and to live more sustainably and connected.
I have edited and kept over 6000 photographs each of the three years.
I have a history of my progress as a photographer and a neophyte writer.
I have allowed myself space to think about what I want to say, to stand for, and my why.
I have a journal that, I hope, in some way will connect me to Little a., J, Charlotte,
Ellie and Colbie – even long after I am gone.
And I have enjoyed the deepening relationships with the PJC community.
This has been a great project and outlet for me and I look forward to how it will evolve in 2014. SW and I already have a plan for pjcharlescolors.com – so sign up and don’t miss what 2014 will bring.
Thank you for your continued support and for making this such a special journey.
