Jurong Bird Park, Singapore

It is well documented that I like birds and the afternoon trip to the Jurong Bird Park did not disappoint.  Originally opened in 1971 and renovated in 2006, this bird park is filled with free flight aviaries where you can see 380 species of birds – 29 of which are threatened.  Colorful and exotic – each one more spectacular than the next!

Strolling through the aviaries, is like a game of hide and seek…  an ornithologist’s delight.  My favorite experience was the Lory loft, where you can feed sweet nectar from a cup to Lorikeets who flock to it like I do to chocolate.
