I rushed back to Dallas the morning after to catch a lecture given by Sam Abell centered on living a photographic life. I found his discussion both enjoyable and enlightening and I strive to have the beautiful portfolio of images he shared with us that night. It was the perfect evening (except for the minor irritation of a flat tire).
The next morning I was lucky enough to have breakfast with him – a real treat courtesy of my mentor – Peter Poulides of the Spot Studio. I shared a photo of mine on my iPad which was sadly covered in smudged fingerprints which he remedied with a disposable cleaning cloth. When done, he gave me a few extras – which I of course will never use. Peter joked that I should have had him sign them – not at all funny, since the idea had crossed my mind.
