A glorious sunny day inspired me to walk from my hotel on 31st Street and Madison Avenue up to 79th Street and Fifth Avenue, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The prize? The Charles James exhibit and a chance to experience the city as I did in the summer CF and I lived there. I remember setting out in the morning and walking the entire city throughout the day – a bit of shopping, a bit of eating – until our young legs beckoned for us to head back to the apartment and a bit of rest. On this day, I would walk nearly 10 miles meandering along streets and through shops reminiscing. As I set out, I chose to walk the distance straight up 5th Avenue. I love the section by the New York Public library and took a moment to shoot a few photos before heading onwards.
