describe the perfect day. I am confident for each of us that question has many answers. On this day, it involved sleeping late – well, at least late for me. I think that sleeping in becomes relative after a certain age. Gone for me are the days of sleeping until 11 – or 1 – as one favored niece is known to do. Then a nice long walk along the beach. On this day over 8 miles. A spot of lunch enjoyed with a lovely bottle of the season’s finest rose – a tricky choice but Whispering Angel is lovely. And then off to the beach club for an afternoon of chatting, napping, dipping and of course… repeat. Follow all this with a lovely dinner over a delicious bottle of Santa Rita Hills Pinot – my new best friend is Kimberly by Clifton Webb. A walk through the gardens of the hotel and an early bed. Perfection. How would you describe your perfect day?
