September has come and gone – and with it all the celebrations associated with milestones. It ended last Saturday night with a magical evening under the stars among friends. One of those nights to remember for a lifetime. Once the evening began, I didn’t touch a camera. For me, I wanted to be in it – experiencing it – not watching it from behind a lens. With an evening like this, the memory in my head lives on vibrantly and I only need something to jar it. In this case, the beautiful Fall table that greeted us for a dinner made especially of CF’s favorites.
There is a song by the Four Tops called September Song and starts using CF’s actual birthday…..
Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away
Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away
The Four Tops
The words have always made me think of him and now when I hear it, I will also think of this night and the perfect key in which our souls were singing and how the stars stole the night away.
