If early, I can arrive at Zinc and set my table without guilt of taking a table from someone. It is a moment of perfection. That usually entails pulling my camera from the bag. Setting out my iPad so I can check my favorite sites and my phone to see what has happened while I was sleeping. I saunter casually between the tables with a knowing pace that says I live here and make my way to the counter to place my order. It always includes a cup of tea or coffee big enough in which to swim. After ordering I set the table with the buzzer that lets me know when my meal is ready, sit in my chair and survey the few early morning regulars as they read and consider the day before them. I never tire of it.
