It was the morning of the Blood Moon – and as I awoke for my morning walk, the moon was just coming out of its red phase – beautiful and bright shining on the water. I walked the length of Santa Monica and ended atop the hill looking down over PCH and the beginning of the morning commute. The camera affixed to my small tripod sat upon a fence post looking off to the moon. A slow shutter speed caught the lights of the cars as they sped towards their destination. And I waited for the shutter release and the opportunity to go find a big cup of steaming coffee for the walk back to the hotel. I love starting mornings with some type of adventure – a little activity that says – in my life today I saw something new.
